Barcelona show how Samuel Umtiti is progressing

Barcelona have offered a glimpse of how Samuel Umtiti is progressing as he bids to recover from a knee problem.

There have been lots of reports over the severity of Umtiti’s problem, but Ernesto Valverde and the club have offered little in the way of updates other than to say they hope he’ll be back soon.

He’s not in the squad for Wednesday’s Champions League match with Inter, but Barcelona have posted a video on Twitter which shows he’s working hard in training. It also seemed to go down well with the man himself.

There’s still no clear idea of when Umtiti will be fit enough to return to first-team action. But the video will raise hopes that he is closing in on a return to action and we may see him back soon.
