Arsenal 3-1 Leicester: Iwobi wins Man-Of-The-Match Award

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi was named the Man-of-the-match award for his brilliant performance in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Leicester City in Monday’s Premier League match at the Emirates.

Iwobi, who was on from start to finish made a huge impact as his pace and skills caused the Leicester City players all sort of problems. The Nigerian international has managed just one goal in all competitions in the colours of the Gunners this season.

However, carrying out a mock interview with his father in the dressing room after being awarded the MOTM award, Iwobi said through laughter: ‘Congratulations daddy, you are the man of the match. Any words to say?’.

He joked: ‘Thank you. I had a good game and I was expecting to be the man of the match. No apologies to anybody.’

Arsenal will be hoping to continue their immaculate recent form against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday night before facing Crystal Place on Sunday in the Premier League.
