Victor Osimhen joins RSC Charleroi on loan

Former Golden Eaglets star Victor Osimhen has joined Belgian First Division A club Royal Charleroi Sporting Club from Bundesliga side.

Osimhen spent the last season with Belgian top-flight club Zulte-Waregem last month, but they turned down the chance to sign him after undergoing trials.

Osimhen’s temporary employer, RSC Charleroi, currently occupy the eleventh position in the updated standings after four rounds in the league.

The 19-year-old was top scorer of the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup after netting ten goals in seven matches, which helped the Golden Eaglets win the tournament for the fifth time in their history.

Since joining Wolfsburg in January 2017, Osimhen has made 16 competitive appearances for the German Bundesliga club in all competitions and is still searching for his first goal.
