The 29-year-old former Premier League star is now joint second leading scorer in the Super League with 11 goals, two goals behind top scorer Wu Lei of Shanghai SIPG.
Ighalo his opening effort from the penalty spot in the 10th minute before Adrian Mierzejewski doubled the lead for Changchun Yatai in the 29th minute when he converted a ball through to him by Xiaodong Fan.
Nigeria international scored the third goal for his side from the penalty spot again ten minutes later for his club to halt a two-game losing run and the ex-Watford star has notched three goals since the World Cup in Russia.
The win moved Changchun Yatai to the 12th spot in the league table with 17 points from 15 matches and they host Shanghai Shenhua for their next fixture on August 4.
