Super Eagles midfielder and captain, Mikel Obi has revealed that Nigeria’s group D opponent, Iceland should be wary of them or they get punished.
The former Chelsea midfielder who currently plays his football with Chinese club Tianjin TEDA told Soccernet.com.ng that the Super Eagles shouldn’t be seen as a pushover as they are ready to crush any team in order to make it out of Group D.
“I am not really concerned with the kind of attention being given to Argentina at the World Cup,” Mikel told Soccernet.com.ng.
“One thing is certain, if Argentina decides to underrate us, then we are ready to raise the level of our football so as to punish them decisively.
“Nowadays names don’t play football again; it’s an 11-man affair on the field of play. So the current crop of Super Eagles players is eagerly waiting to face them,” he said.
