Ronaldo set to quit Real Madrid

Real Madrid is faced with the challenge to keep Cristiano Ronaldo at the club for another season after a recent meeting with the player’s representative broke down.

Ronaldo and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez have not reached a conclusion on his contract with the European Champions, according to the Portuguese media.

A report in Spain revealed that Los Blancos’ director general Jose Angel Sanchez had a meeting with Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes where he explained that the club was not ready to meet his demands over a new deal, according to MARCA.

Ronaldo was not happy with the club’s decision as he feels he is not fulfilling the promise made to him.

“It is not a question of money but of recognition.” Ronaldo is not also happy with the priority that is being placed on the signing of Neymar and the exit of Zinedine Zidane was a big blow after he has lost his close pals at the club the likes of Pepe, Fabio Coentrao and James Rodriguez.
