Nigerians shouldn’t give up on Super Eagles – Kanu begs

Ex-international, Nwankwo Kanu has assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles would improve in their next encounter against Iceland on Friday.

Having lost their opening Group D World Cup match against Croatia on Saturday, the former Arsenal star, appealed to Nigerians to continue to believe in the team.

“We apologise for not getting the three points but that’s football and we thank all for your support,” Kanu tweeted.

“Next match we will do better and we still believe it’s not over. Up Eagles, remember it’s our team.”
