Croatia have sent a statement of intent to the Super Eagles ahead of their opening fixture on June 16 as they defeated Senegal 2-1 in their last international friendly game on Friday night.
Having lost 2-0 to World Cup favourites Brazil last week in a warm-up encounter at Anfield, Croatia needed a spark to boost the morale of the players as they crushed Senegal 2-1.
Senegal took the lead through Ismaila Sarr before Ivan Perisic equalised with a heavily deflected free-kick. Kramaric showed a killer instinct in the penalty area, drilling in a rebound after a Senegalese defender blocked his first shot for the winning goal.
Croatians open their Group D campaign against Nigeria on June 16 before taking on Argentina and Iceland, while Senegal play Poland on June 19 in Group H followed by games against Japan and Colombia.
