Leon Balogun back in training

Super Eagles and Mainz 05 defender, Leon Balogun has announced his return to training after a two-week absence due to injury.

Balogun who suffered a Rib Bruise in April missed two league games for his side in the process.

On Thursday night, the 29-year-old tweeted a photo of himself in training with the caption “Back on track.”

However, the centre-back will not feature for his club this weekend against Dortmund.

The news will come as a relief for Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, who has been inundated with news of injuries to some of his regular players in the past weeks.

With just 41 days to the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 10 days before he’s expected to submit a provisional squad list, Rohr is still sweating over the fitness of Wilfred Ndidi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Tyronne Ebuehi.
