Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi says he can’t wait to don the green and white colours of Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Iwobi scored four goals for the team as they qualified ahead of Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia in the Africa zone qualifier.
With his mind set at playing at 2018 World Cup, the Arsenal star told FIFA.com that he has had enough experience playing with world-class players and that he’s ready for the tournament.
“The fact I’ve been training with world-class players every day has given me a bit of experience, so I’ll know what to expect in Russia,” the 15-times-capped, four-goal international said.
“The intensity I train at with Arsenal is very high, so I’m preparing in a good way.
“It has always my dream as a kid, so I can’t wait to be involved. I’m looking forward to the atmosphere and wearing the colours of Nigeria. I feel like I can do well.”
Nigeria will face Croatia in the opening fixture of the competition before playing Iceland and Argentina in their last group game.
