Super Eagles Rank 47th In FIFA Rankings

Super Eagles made an improved movement in the latest FIFA ranking that was announced on Thursday as Nigeria was ranked 47th in the world and sixth in Africa with 630 points

The three-time Africa Champions who will face Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in group D of the 2018 World Cup moved five steps from last month’s ranking, where they placed 52nd.

It will be recalled the Super Eagles defeated Poland 1-0 before losing 2-0 to Serbia in an international friendly match in March.

In the global ranking, 2014 World Cup champions Germany lead the way followed by Brazil, Belgium and Portugal.

The next world ranking will be published on the official website of FIFA, fifa.com, on 17 May 2018.
