Ndidi out of Newcastle clash as Iheanacho’s in line for selection

By Augustine Akhilomen

Super Eagles combative midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is expected to miss today’s Premier League tie against Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium due to card offence.

The Nigerian international was shown a red card after receiving this second yellow in their 2-0 win over Brighton last weekend.

Ndidi who has been a top performer for Leicester City this season will return to the starting line up next weekend.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho would be targeting a return to the first team of the Fixes after missing out last weekend due to a slight hand injury.

Iheanacho copped the injury during Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Poland in an international friendly a fortnight ago and he’s poised to impress if selected against Newcastle United today.
