Ex international, Dosu Joseph has cautioned the Nigeria Football Federation not to judge Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr with the results of the forthcoming international friendly matches against Poland and Serbia respectively.
Nigeria will face Poland on Friday March 23 before squaring up against Serbia in warm up match ahead of this summer World Cup in Russia.
The Atlanta Olympic gold medalist told Soccernet.com.ng that Nigerians and the NFF shouldn’t focus on results of those two tune-up matches to judge Rohr’s technical abilities.
“I don’t think it will be wise for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to start focusing on Rohr’s errors should results do not turn to his favour when they play Poland and Serbia,” Dosu told Soccernet.com.ng.
“What’s more paramount is for the team to use the encounters to discover their lapses and make amends before the World Cup.
“Winning shouldn’t be our everyday mentality because what’s the importance if you win your friendly games and fail to win a game at the tournament proper,” he said.
