Why I was suspended – Oliseh

Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Sunday Oliseh has revealed why management of Dutch Eerste Divisie Fortuna Sittard suspended him following his refusal to accept illegal activities.

According to the club’s management, the decision against the former Ajax and Juventus midfielder has no connection with the latest bad results.

Oliseh, who started on a bright note with the club at the beginning of the season is yet to command result in the last three games played in the ongoing season.

Reacting after the management decision, he said:   “I confirm: Due to my refusal to participate in Illegal activities at Fortuna sittard & violate the Law,i have been Suspended from my duties as Coach by the Foreign Owners of Fortuna. Unfortunate for the lovely fans, my players & our hard fought phenomenal positioning for Promotion.”

Oliseh started his coaching career in Belgium with youth teams in the Belgian 3rd Division Verviers. He joined Fortuna Sittard On 27 December 2016.
