Emenike join Las Palmas on transfer deadline day

Las Palmas managed to seal a late deadline day loan deal for former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike from Olympiacos.

The La Liga campaigners who also landed signed Etebo on transfer deadline day confirmed Emenike’s signing on its official website.

“The arrival of the player is scheduled for Thursday, February via a flight from Madrid.

“He will undergo medical examination on Friday in the first hour and around 12.30. will be presented in the press room of the Gran Canaria Stadium.”

The Nigeria international who was part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2014 World Cup Brazil following a successful outing in the 3018 AFCON the previous year, also had a brilliant spell for Russian football. During his time at Spartak Moscow, Emnike scored 21 goals in 42 matches.

In recent seasons he has served on loan to Al-Ain (United Arab Emirates) and Wes Ham United where he played 13 games in the Premier League, without scoring any (2015-2016).
