Barcelona, Real Madrid battle for French defender

Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to go toe to toe for French defender next summer, according to report in Spain.

Report in Don Balon the Sevilla centre defender Clement Lenglet has emerged as the top target for Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The report further says that the European and La Liga Champions are set to activate the 30 million release clause as they look to reshuffle the squad especially in the defence.

Barcelona is also making moves to sign the French defender and the Camp Nou outfit is willing to throw in Alex Vidal into the deal.

Sevilla boss Vincenzo Montella wants a wide man to his squad and he might welcome the deal to re-sign the former Sevilla defender.
