Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye has disclosed that the CHAN Eagles are in high spirit to make Nigeria proud ahead of their opening fixture of the 2018 Africa Nations Championship in Morocco.
Having played out a goalless draw against Cameroon in a warm up game on Wednesday in Rabat, the team is expected to arrive Tangier, venue of their group B matches.
Ibitoye said that Nigerians shouldn’t judge the team with the result against Cameroon but wait when they play their first game against Rwanda on Monday 15, January.
“The good practice game, it was not about the result but how the players performed,” said team spokesman Toyin Ibitoye.
“It was a very physical game as both teams went for it, good for us, this was more than just a friendly. But so far, no injury to worry about.
“The game showed that this tournament won’t be a stroll in the park.
“The boys are hungry to do well, they are motivated to deliver with the World Cup on the horizon.”
