Barcelona focus on signing Eriksen

Barcelona are ready to step up their long-term interest in Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Don Balon says Barcelona have turned their attention to Eriksen with their hopes of signing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho fading.

The Catalan giants have started to look elsewhere after finding their negotiations with the Anfield hierarchy problematic.

Barca reportedly see Eriksen as a more attainable target, and the Dane would command a much lower transfer fee.

Liverpool stood firm throughout the summer on their stance to keep Coutinho and are reluctant to sell him in January.
