The sparkling performances of the Super Eagles in recent times have earned them a nomination in the National Team of the Year category in the 2017 AITEO CAF Awards.
Among other highs in the period under review, the Super Eagles were the first African team to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
The Nigeria national team have been shortlisted against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Pharaohs of Egypt, Mali U-17 and the Zambia U-20.
Nigeria have a chance for a double as it also has a nomination in the Women’s National Team of the Year where the U-20 Women’s team, The Falconets are shortlisted.
In the last team-based category, the Club of the year category, Nigeria has no representation.
