Ozil would be welcome at Barcelona – Rakitic

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic says he’d welcome Mesut Ozil to the Nou Camp.

The Arsenal midfielder, off contract in June, is a winter market target for Barca.

Ozil’s arrival could threaten Rakitic’s place, but the Croatia international said: “I played with Özil in Germany.

“Would he be good at Barça? Every player who signs for Barça is very good. I can only say that I trust 100% in my colleagues. If someone joins us, he will be welcome.

“For my part, I do my best. I help my teammates and the club, and if someone comes, it will be perfect. Otherwise, it will be up to us to try to reach our goals.”
