Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has thanked his players, assistant coaches and fans for winning the best coach in the first half of the Dutch Eerste Divisie (second division) this season, following his good run with Fortuna Sittard in the current season.
Reacting after winning the award, Oliseh immediately expressed his feelings. “Thanks to my players,club fans,club Owner: Isitan Gun,Co-Trainers,Peers & players who voted, Knvb & above all almighty God for this Coronation,” Oliseh wrote.
Earlier on Wednesday, Sittard confirmed via their official Twitter handle Oliseh being voted best coach, while another club’s player, Perr Sabry was named best talent player of the term.
“Sunday Oliseh has been named the best trainer of the first period. Perr Sabry is named the best talent of the first period,” the club wrote on twitter.
Oliseh helped the club to escape relegation towards the end of last season, He has also carved a niche for himself by recording eight straight home wins. Meanwhile, Fortuna currently occupy third spot in the ongoing season in the Netherlands.
