NFF pays Rohr Nov, Dec salaries, set to offer him two-year contract

By Augustine Akhilomen

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have paid all outstanding salaries of the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr and are already making out plans to offer him a two-year contract in order to tie him down after the 2018 World Cup.

Disclosing this piece of information is the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, who feel impressed with the achievements and progress made on the senior national team since his appointment in 2016.

The German tactician qualified the Super Eagles to the 2018 World Cup after topping group B of the Africa zone qualifier that consists of Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia with 14 points.

‘’Coach Rohr has done well with our team and we are pleased with the new direction that he
has given to our football and that is why we have paid him his salary up till December. We have also offered him a two year extension to his contract and we hope that after all the legal issues are settled that we would sign the deal very soon.

‘’We want to sign him quickly so as to prevent the likes of Germany from poaching him from us after the World Cup, when we would have done so well in Russia,’’ added Pinnick.
