Ahead of Saturday’s do-or-die 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia, Super Eagles midfielder and captain, Mikel Obi has reiterated that the team won’t underrate the Chipolopolo and will allow their play to do the talking on the pitch.
Both teams will be hoping to seal the three points in order to book the automatic ticket for the mundial slated for Russia.
Nigeria are top of Group B with 10 points while Zambia sit second on 7 points after round of five matches played so far.
However, the former Chelsea midfielder, who has only featured in one World Cup appearance, told thenff.com on Thursday that they are ready to pick the maximum points on Saturday against Zambia.
“We know how important the match is; that is enough motivation to go all out and give our very best. There are several players in this team who have not played at the FIFA World Cup. They want to be there in Russia next year.
“The talking will be done on the pitch. I have no doubt we have the quality to achieve victory, but we will not make the mistake of under–rating the Zambians.”
