Tottenham keep eye on Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes

Tottenham remain keen on Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

The Daily Mail says Spurs could renew their interest in Barcelona midfielder Gomes in January.

The Portuguese midfielder has failed to nail down a regular spot in Ernesto Valverde’s first-team, and could be set for a cut-price move away from the Bernabeu.

Gomes, 24, has not lived up to his billing and is stuck in the shadow of 33-year-old Andres Iniesta.

The former Valencia player joined Barca for £45m in the summer of 2016, but could well be calling Wembley home from January, then White Hart Lane for season 2018/19.

Spurs have been tipped off Gomes will be let out in the next window, and are already preparing their moves.
