Henry Onyekuru’s former teammate at KAS Eupen, Hendrik Van Crombrugge believes the Nigeria is already sharper than he was last season when he fired 24 goals.
Onyekuru has netted seven goals in all competitions this season on loan from Everton to Anderlecht.
His goal against former club Eupen at the weekend was ruled as an own goal.
Eupen goalkeeper Van Crombrugge has now rated the Nigeria star as a sharper striker than he was last year.
“Compared with last year, I find him sharper and he makes the right choices at the right moment. Last year he already did an action when it was not necessary. Remember that he’s only 20 years old,” Van Crombrugge told Sport/Football Magazine.
“With Eupen you are not only expected to score goals, but also go back to defend. That would be different at Anderlecht.”
He also said he made the right decision to move to England and return to Belgium to gain more experience.
