Super Eagles midfielder and captain, Mikel Obi has revealed that their 2018 World Cup destiny lies within their hands and that the team would avoid making silly errors against Zambia.
Having arrived camp on Monday to team up with his teammates in Uyo, the former Chelsea star appears optimistic with Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
Mikel noted that the Super Eagles must ensure they conclude the World Cup business on Sunday but warn against any form of complacency from the players.
“We’re just a distant touch from qualifying for the World Cup and at this point there is need for the players to remain focus in order not to be carried away,” Mikel said.
“We must wrap this race up on Saturday. Our team has shown professionalism, dedication and determination to be in this position,” captain John Obi Mikel said in the build-up to the match in Uyo.
