Barcelona to beat Man Utd, Real Madrid in Ferran Torres race

Barcelona are ready to trump all rivals to the signing of Valencia attacker Ferran Torres.

The teen has attracted enquiries from across Europe, with the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United all keen.

However, Valencia owner Peter Lim has refused to consider selling Torres, well aware of the talent they have on their hands.

Instead, Barca are prepared to meet the youngster’s buyout clause – €8m – to ferry him away from Los Che.

Torres is yet to taste first team football, but Don Balon says Barca management believe it will be worth paying the price for a player of Torres’ potential.
