Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu wants UEFA to take legal action against Paris Saint-Germain over transfer market madness.
Bartomeu was quick to say “they won’t consider any bidding war for players” and their focus is to work with the La Masia academy to produce talents that can carry on the club’s legacy.
Bartomeu said: “We have to bet on the model of La Masia. This model is the future of Barça. Not just to maintain our style but as a response to inflation.
“We will never be able to compete on equal terms with clubs that with countries and investment funds are able to put in any amount that the club does not produce itself. Neymar is a clear example.
“Our response is through training and working with La Liga and UEFA to put limits to this market madness.”
Neymar moved to PSG last summer with a world record transfer fee of €222, they could not afford to sign Mbappe and stay within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations but the Parisians have reached an agreement of €180 deal for the France international next summer.
