Nigeria’s Super Eagles Team B put up a great show by beating hosts Ghana 2-0 in their final Group A game of the ongoing 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Latest goal-king Anthony Okpotu broke the deadlock for Nigeria mid-way in the 52nd minute, while Moses Eneji Peter doubled the lead in the 55th minute, as the game ended 2-0 at full time, as Nigeria advanced to the semi-final, alongside Ghana.
Despite the win, Ghana top the group with six points, while Nigeria finished as runner-up with five points from three games, while Guinea and Mali failed to progress after playing 1-1 draw in their last group game of the tournament.
Nigeria’s Moses Eneji Peters was awarded Man-of-the-Match in the game for having a brilliant outing against perennial rival Ghana in the epic clash on Monday. In the other game of the night, Guinea’s Camara Abdoulaye was also name Man-of-the-Match.
