Super Eagles Chief coach, Salisu Yusuf has revealed that the team would leave no stone unturned as they face the Chipolopolo of Zambia in a 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo on October 7.
Salisu, who led the home based Super Eagles to the final of the WAFU Cup tournament where they lost 4-1 against Ghana last weekend, told Soccernet.com.ng that the players are hungry and determine to seal the sole tickets in Uyo.
The three-time Africa champions, are top of Group B with 10 points and a win against Zambia will automatically qualify Nigeria for the mundial with a game to spare.
“This is where we want to be as far as the qualifying series of the World Cup to Russia is concern. For me, I have put behind the WAFU Cup final defeat in the hands of Ghana considering the fact that the World Cup is our sole target,” Salisu told Soccernet com.ng
“I expect Zambia to give us a tough battle but I am confident that the Super Eagles fire power will definitely subdue them in Uyo on October 7.
The Super Eagles players are expected to start arriving camp this weekend for the showdown at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
