The Super Eagles are ready for all that will be thrown at them in Monday’s World Cup qualifying match against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Super Eagles manager Genort Rohr believes Cameroon will play and fight for pride in front of their fans.
He said: “We are here to secure a good result, we know it won’t be easy for us to win in Yaoundé. They (Cameroon) have to play for pride, they will have theirfamily, friends, and fans who will be at the stadium and they have to fight not to disappoint them again.
“They got a big slap in Nigeria and we are expecting them to make a revenge, we are looking forward to a new beginning with this game.
“We are expecting them to be aggressive, they are a physical side and we have prepared for a physical game. The stadium is big and the fans might come out in large numbers, we are ready for the game and the players have resolved to give their best,” Rohr added.
Nigeria could become the first African team to earn a slot in Russia as early as Tuesday (next 24 hours) if they defeat the Cameroonians on Monday in Yaounde and Zambia fail to beat Algeria at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida on Tuesday.
