£57m star set to snub Barca and join Real Madrid in January

The Los Blancos have reportedly beaten their arch rivals, Barcelona to a £57m star.

Real Madrid is expected to have an active January transfer as the Los Blancos side had a relatively quiet transfer window last summer. If the reports in Don Balon vis Sportskeeda are said to be true, the 12-time Champions League winner will be signing highly rated Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.

The young player who is 23 is one of the best defenders in the League and has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, but it looking like Real Madrid have outshined their arch rivals in the race and have convinced Laporte to move to the Bernabeu.

January is expected to be a busy transfer window with a number of high profile arrivals expected to strengthen the squad and boost Real Madrid’s ambitions of defending their League and Champions League double this season.
