Super Eagles’ manager, Gernot Rohr, has called up CSKA Moscow striker, Aaron Samuel, as replacement for injured Alex Iwobi for the double header World Cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The gaffer, according to the senior national team Twitter handle: @NGSuperEagles, also extended the invitation to Standard Liege player, Uche Agbo.
“Aaron Samuel called in to replace injured Alex Iwobi. Uche Agbo also invited,” the handle tweeted.
Samuel made his debut for the Super Eagles in a Nations Cup qualifier against Sudan in Khartoum, just as he scored his first goal in a 3–1 home victory against Sudan.
Nigeria will slug it out with their eternal rivals, Cameroon on Friday, while the reverse fixture is for Yaoundé on September 4.
