Super Eagles duo of Dele Ajiboye and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi have stated that the Squirrels of Benin Republic should expect nothing but a resounding victory in Saturday’s second leg of the African Championship of Nations or CHAN ) qualifier.
The encounter which is slated to hold at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Saturday, will see the team hoping to overturn a one-goal deficit which they conceded in the first leg last weekend, to have any hope of booking a final berth tickets.
However, former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Ajiboye told Soccernet.com.ng that the team remains confident of beating Benin.
“I am optimistic that Nigeria will qualify for the CHAN tournament slated for next year. As it is, we have a tall order to win on Saturday and must not fail Nigerians,” Ajiboye told Soccernet.com.ng
“The truth is, there is no hiding place for the Squirrells at the Sani Abacha Stadium because we won’t spare them.
In the same vein, former Flying Eagles midfielder, Ifeanyi told Soccernet.com.ng that nothing but victory will be enough to appease the Nigerian fans.
“The only thing I can say is that the team is preparing hard in camp to ensure that we win well and qualify for the CHAN tournament.
“The players are focused and ready to make their fatherland proud. Victory or nothing on Saturday.
