By Augustine Akhilomen

Super Eagles have book a place to next year’s Africa Nations Championship after overcoming the Squirrels of Benin 2-0 on Saturday at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

Goals from Kingsley Eduwo and Rabiu Aliu was enough to ensure the team overturned Benin one goal advantage as the CHAN Eagles made the most of their home advantage.

Nigeria’s coach, Salisu Yusuf was almost made to bite the grass after the Squirrels were awarded a penalty, but Ikechukwu Ezenwa came to the rescue of the team as he saves Sidoubou’s penalty in the second half.

The victory means, the Super Eagles have qualified for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship slated for Kenya.
