Neymar joins PSG as Barcelona accept transfer fee

Neymar will sign for PSG after Barcelona finally accepted the payment for his release clause.

Neymar has completed his move to PSG after they finally paid his €222million transfer fee, Barcelona have confirmed.

Barcelona released a statement on their website which confirms they have accepted the payment for the transfer of Neymar, but warned the French club they will lodge a complaint with UEFA to have them investigated.

The statement reads: “On Thursday afternoon Neymar Jr’s legal representatives visited in person the Club’s offices and made the payment of 222 million euros in the player’s name with regards to the unilateral termination of the contract that united both parties.

“As such, the Club will pass on to UEFA the details of the above operation so that they can determine the disciplinary responsibilities that may arise from this case.”
