Iniesta and Paulinho head to Vitoria

Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde has confirmed that team captain Andres Iniesta and new signing who has now been cleared by the Spanish authorities have been included in the squad for the trip to Vitoria.

The available first team players worked out on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper with Luis Suárez joining the group as he recovers faster than expected from his knee injury. U19A goalkeeper Iñaki Peña also took part.

When it was over, the Blaugrana coach announced his squad for the match at Mendizorrotza. Paulinho is called up for the first time and he is joined by Andrés Iniesta who has recovered from injury.

On Saturday morning, the club in an official statement revealed that André Gomes had gone down with gastroenteritis, and was replaced at the last minute by Lucas Digne.

Therefore, the final squad is as follows: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis Suárez, Iniesta, Messi, Mascherano, Paulinho, Deulofeu, Paco Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Lucas Digne, Aleix Vidal and Umtiti.

Rafinha and Luis Suárez miss out through injury, and Arda, Marlon, Munir, Douglas and Vermaelen are being left at home.
