Former Super Eagles forward, Chinedu ‘Edu’ Obasi scored for AIK Fotboll but the goal was not enoughas they play out 1-1 with Djurgaarden IF Fotboll in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday.
Obasi scored first from the penalty spot in the 39th minute, while Senegalese forward, Aliou Badji grabbed the equalizer for Djurgaarden late in the 84th minute to end the game 1-1 at regulation time.
The former Dream Team forward picked the starting shirt in AIK line-up, before making way for Henok Goitom in the 65th minute. He has netted three goals in his four games appearance for the Swedish club since his he returned from Chinese club, Shenzhen FC in July.
Meanwhile Nigerian duo of Chisom Egbuchunam and Alhaji Gero were in action for their clubs BK Hacken and Oestersunds FK in their 3-1 and 2-0 wins against their opponents Joenkoepings Soedra and IFK Norrkoeping in the current Allsvenskan league.
Egbuchulam who is currently on loan from Enugu Rangers came on as second half substitute for Ahmed Yasin in the 86th minute, while former youth international Alhaji Gero picked the strting shirt, but later made way for Ludvig Fritzson in the65th minute of the encounter.
