Real Madrid target former Barcelona striker as a replacement

Real Madrid want to sign former Barcelona striker Sandro Ramirez who plies his trade with Malaga as areplacement for Manchester United-bound Alvaro Morata according to Marca.

Everton and Atletico Madrid also want to sign the Spanish U-21 forward but Real Madrid is considering activating his release clause of €6 million.

Sandro was a youth product of Barcelona, he made 32 appearances for the Barcelona in two seasons, where he scored seven goals. He has been on fire last season where he played 31 goals and scored 16 goals for La Liga side.

If the move does go through, there is plenty of potential for awkwardness – on the last day of the Liga season when Sandro pledges his support Barcelona despite playing for Malaga.

Real Madrid needed to avoid defeat to Malaga, Sandro voiced his support for Barcelona, saying“Hopefully I can score and hand the title to Barcelona. Hopefully, it’s a dream day; I owe them [Barça] everything.”

Real Madrid has sent scouts to the U-21 Euros, where Sandro is featuring for Spain, although Los Blancos are looking at multiple targets at the tournament, including AC Milan keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Alvaro Morata has kept Sandro on the bench for the most part, and Madrid are resigned to losing him to Manchester United.
