Barcelona is considering a move a for Bayern Munich star Douglas Costa, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
Costa joined for £21million from Shakhtar Donetsk in July 2015 and quickly established himself as a key player under Pep Guardiola.
The Brazilian has struggled to replicate the form he displayed under Guardiola in the last two seasons.
As a result of that, he doesn’t fit into Carlo Ancelotti plans and he has been plagued by inconsistency this season despite making 34 appearances in all competitions for Bayern.
Ancelotti and Bayern Munich is willing to let the former Shakhtar Donetsk player leave as the Italian wants to restructure his squad despite winning the League with a high margin of 15 points difference.
Bayern will only sell the player if the price is right, the German Champion is ready to sell for £30million as reported by Bild and as quoted by Dailymail Aside from Barcelona who wants the winger, Tottenham Hotspur is also pushing hard to bring the Brazilian to England.
Costa hinted that he was unsettled at Bayern earlier this season and revealed that a number of clubs had attempted to contact him – from the Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga and the Chinese Super League.
He was left out of the starting line-up for both Champions League semi-final ties against Real Madrid His last goal for Bayern came in March – in a 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Costa is currently away with the Brazil squad ahead of their friendlies against Argentina on June 9 and Australia on June 13.
