As the curtain of first round of games in Nigeria National League NNL, is gradually drawing closer, a very hefty contest is the one involving Warri Wolves and ‘Omoluabi Giants’, Osun United.
A classic and spicy game on the horizon, though it’s a rescheduled match day 12 game in the current NNL season.
The intermittent host will see their winning against Papillo FC on Sunday as a morale booster when they slug it out with Osogbo land lord tomorrow.
Warri based outfit will have to be at their very best to get the better of their visitor, knowing fully well that Osun United had conserved much of their energy coming off their game in Ikom where they refused to play because of unsecured match venue.
Very few players have more experience than skipper Ayo Ojo when it comes to the the game like this, speaking to our correspondent in Warri after their training inside the main bowl of the Warri township Stadium today, the skipper of the away team, relishes the importance of the win.
“We have determined to approach the game with all seriousness, having brought the fight to Warri, since we couldn’t play away to Unicem due to insufficient security, then, we are going to work assiduously for the positive points tomorrow.
“l have played against them, (Warri Wolves) couples of times even when they were still in top flight.
Again, l have been privileged to watch them in Ogbomoso, my brother, they are beatable any where any day,” he told Soccernet.com.ng
‘Believe and Achieve’ Gladiators will battle hard luck and convert their chances as they come, if they must leave Warri with something to celebrate.
” Our strikers have pledged to bury any chances created and I will keep talking to my defenders because we need to concentrate and put our heart together, ” Ay as he’s fondly called concluded.
A win for Warrior Wolves will shoot them above relegation, while Osun United will brighten their promotion chances, should they scoop a rare win on the road.
