Jordi Cruyff linked with Barcelona return

Jordi Cruyff is being linked with an emotional return to Barcelona.

With Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu rejigging the club’s front office, Cruyff is being linked with a potential new role.

Sport says the former Barca striker was spotted in conversation with Bartomeu before the scheduled board meeting to confirm Ernesto Valverde’s coaching appointment.

Since hanging up his boots, Cruyff has been working as a sporting director.

He is currently with Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
