Galatasaray target Barcelona defender

Galatasaray are targeting Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu.

Sport says he has a year to run on his deal but Barcelona will allow him to leave as they feel his value to the team has dropped.

Galatasaray have made him an offer, while there are also offers from elsewhere in Europe for Mathieu to continue his career at the top level.

However, first the Turkish club must hold talks with Barça with the hope that the Catalan club will allow him to leave for free now the season had finished.

The Blaugrana would like to get a small fee but they’re not going to hold out and would let him leave for free if necessary.
