Nigerian star, Victor Anichebe, has expressed delight with his return following a knee injury that kept him out since January.
The 28-year-old was thrown straight into action against Manchester by manager David Moyes but despite his best efforts, the Red Devils ran out with a 3-0 victory.
Speaking with the club’s official website after the game, he said: “It’s nice to get back out here. You know, I’ve been out for a long time and trained just six times so the touches are not great yet and confidence is not high but it’s good to be back out there but it’s not about me it’s about the club and improving our team.
“I had a good chance to score but it wasn’t to be and like I said, we will carry on.”
On the game, he said: “It was a difficult game and obvious the sending-off did not help us.
“I feel the first 20 minutes we didn’t get up to them and we were poor – We gave them too much respect. You know the position we are in, the anxiety and fear was in our performance. I think they were just the better side and we didn’t do what we were supposed to do.”
