The goal draught recently experienced by Omoluabi Queens has made the chief coach of the Nigeria Women Premier League outfit, Osun Babes FC, to consider new options upfront.
Coach Liadi Bashiru in recent chat with soccernet.com.ng recounts in dismay, how his girls felt playing over 180minutes without a single goal to commemorate their efforts.
Osun Babes have so far registered two goals in the current campaign.
Hope were raised in Lokoja when they confronted Confluence Queen, having previously spanked Pelican Stars in their fortress with two goals to nil.
Confluence Queen walloped their counterpart from the land of Omoluabi with three unreplied goals in Lokoja.
With the exit of Anthony Esther, last season highest goal scorer for the side, coach Liadi tutored side couldn’t breeze past their last opponent, Adamawa Queen. The game is highly characterized with hard luck considering the fact that wood work denied their best chances at goal, seven times.
In his reaction, coach Liadi Bashiru said that, new approach will be considered for his girls to start scoring and getting positive results henceforth.
” I’m not happy for our inability to bury our chances. My girls have been putting in their best efforts.
” We need to start scoring goals henceforth, we will change our tactical approach and l am optimistic that rain of goals will start to fall in earnest. We shall of course give our passionate fans something to smile about.” He told soccernet.com.ng
Edo Queen, who equally had slow start in the current campaign shall welcome Osun Babes FC of Osogbo, in week 5 encounter of the Nigeria Women Premier League.
