Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club forward, Sikiru Olatunbosun’s wonder goal against reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Enugu Rangers has been shortlisted for the CNN Goal of the Week.
The left-winger scored the first goal of the match in the 31st minute of the entertaining encounter when he brilliantly connected a backheel flick from NPFL top scorer Stephen. Olatunbosun flicked the ball over the Rangers defender, Emmanuel Etim before rifling a long-range volley into the back of the net.
At the end of 90 minutes on Friday, the Olukoya Boys claimed a 2-1 victory over the league champions with Odey scoring the second goal while Bobby Clement got the visitors consolation goal.
With less than two days and 22 hours left to wrap up the voting process for the CNN Goal of the Week, Olatunbosun’s magical finish is currently leading Radja Nainggolan of AS Roma, Y.Tielemans of Anderlecht and Working FC’s Joey Jones with 77 percentage.
