Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has fired a warning to their English Premier League (EPL) rivals Arsenal ahead of their encounter on Sunday.
The 20-year-old forward scored for Nigeria’s Super Eagles as they drew 1-1 with Senegal in an international friendly in London, England on Thursday night.
Iheanacho has now turned his focus back to the EPL and he will be facing his Super Eagles teammate Alex Iwobi’s club Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
“We are going to go to the Emirates and fight. We need a win there. It’s a good team, so we need to fight hard to get threepoints, “ Iheanacho told City’s official website.
“We are in a good situation. We played well against Liverpool and showed good character.
“We defend well, we attack well, but unfortunately we couldn’t win,” the Nigeria youth and senior international continued.
“We are in a good position (third place) in the Premier League, we keep fighting and focus on the next games.”
Iheanacho has made 16 league appearances for City, who are coached by Pep Guardiola, this season – netting four goals in the process.
