IfeanyiUbah Can Overcome Any Challenge –Dobrev

By Augustine Akhilomen

IfeanyiUbah FC manager, Mitko Dobrev believes there is more to his team than just beating Plateau United 1-0 in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League match.

The Nnewi based side made just the perfect start to the encounter as they controlled possession from the early kickoff but failed to utilise the goal scoring chances that came their way.

Having struggled to breakdown a Plateau United side who have only lost just one match in the league, the team was later awarded a penalty after Godwin Obaje was fouled in the 18-yard box before Prince Aggrey converted the penalty kick to give the hosts the much needed three points.

Dobrev revealed to Soccernet.com.ng that IfeanyiUbah won’t relent on their winning efforts over the league leaders, Plateau United.

“It’s a big relief for the players and the technical crew to have bagged in the maximum points against Plateau United on Sunday. We really worked for the victory and I believe that this is just the beginning for us,”Dobrev told Soccernet.com.ng.

“We are more determined to finish this season on a high regardless of the fact that results haven’t been in our favour. It’s a normal thing for every club and I believe the team will come stronger and better after Sunday’s victory. We shall overcome every challenge henceforth,” he said.
