FA Cup: Iwobi Benched As Arsenal Thrash Lincoln To Seal Last Four Place

Nigerian forward, Alex Iwobi was an unused substitute as Arsenal booked their place in the semi-final of the English FA Cup after defeating non-league side Lincoln City 5-0 in their quarter-final tie at the Emirates Stadium.

Coming on the back of their disappointing 10-2 aggregate loss to German champions Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League (UCL), Arsenal started on a nervy note with the visitors threatening on a few occasions.

The home side however improved as the game went on and were rewarded with the opener from Theo Walcott in the first minute of added time in the first half.

The second half was much more straight forward as further goals from Oliver Giroud, Luke Waterfall (OG), Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey gave the Gunners ‎a 5-0 win.

The North London side have now booked their place in the semi-final at the Wembley Stadium next month alongside Manchester City, who defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 earlier in the day.
