Barcelona announce squad to face Sporting Gijon in La Liga

Barcelona train ahead of Sporting Gijon game
FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has named his squad list featuring 18 Players for his side’s 2016/2017 La Liga Round 25 game against Sporting Gijon, a team from the City Asturia, where he’s from.
Barcelona fought really hard in their last two league games to get scrappy 2-1 wins against Leganés and Atletico Madrid after their shocking 4-0 loss to PSG in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalans will be looking to get a big win tonight after a confidence boost against Atléti when they host the Asturian side at the Camp Nou.
Coach Luis Enrique stated that both Arda Turan and Javier Mascherano trained with the team in the final preparations for the game and are both in the squad to feature. Both players have been put through injuries but have been given the medical greenlight but only Javier Mascherano will take part in the game as Arda Turan wasn’t included in the squad.
Aleix Vidal and Jérémy Mathieu are still out through injury although the injury of the latter isn’t as chronic as expected. Jordi Masip was given no place in the squad list for technical reason and will sit out the game.
